Six Sigma is a management innovation program aimed at ensuring customer satisfaction through continuous improvement in quality. The ultimate goal of the program is to achieve 6 sigma, which would mean products and processes experience only 3.4 defects per million opportunities, or, in other words, only 3 defects in one million products or services.
